A North Carolina native, Caroline Mercurio Spitzer has lived in Asheville since 2008. Her endeavors include earning a BA degree in English from Appalachian State University and an MFA degree in writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts, serving as Founding Editor of Hunger Mountain, and teaching as a writing professor at Warren Wilson College and Odyssey Community School. After years spent working in the booming Asheville vacation rental industry, her skills in staging and photographing rental homes are relevant and sharp.
